The Multnomah neighborhood is one of the jewels of the greater Southwest Portland area.
It is bounded by Hillsdale to the east, I-5 to the south, SW 45th to the west, and SW Vermont on the north. This neighborhood has a strong connection to the identity of Southwest Portland. One of my favorite events in Multnomah is the Multnomah Days Parade. Typically the third weekend in August, it features many local businesses, artists, and neighborhood craftspeople. At the conclusion of the parade, many local dog owners join in to walk the route with their dogs and bring up the “tail” of the parade.
